happy may. may seems a bit like april so far. its is slowly warming up, but there has been a lot of rain... my basement is flooded... oh well, i am used to that by now. it feels like spring though... it is quite nice, even with rain. peter (my husband) and i went to lunch at Calyspo cafe today and then went to Lowe's the get a new hose for our sump pump (so that the basement won't be so very damp). while at Lowe's, we bought some hydrangeas and a couple grape vines... since it was raining a bit, we decided to leave the plants outside until tomorrow and then plant them... however, we were a bit too excited about our new plants, so we planted all of them right away, we didn't unlock the door... it was quite nice... we then fixed (more like tweaked) our fence a bit so that it would open a bit more easily. we have had a rather productive day, but it has still been pretty relaxing... i really like sundays for this reason. i understand that it is the end of the weekend and that it is back to bed early and back to getting up early tomorrow, but it is still nice to have another day of hanging out at home or running errands as leisurely as we would like...
it has been a pretty good weekend, not a lot to do, just wandering around it seems...
i do wish that the basement would dry up so that i could do laundry, but that is probably going to take a little while...
